Role Overview:
Reporting into the Head of Japan, as the Retail business focused Senior Sales Manager, you will enhance and grow our Retail business with tight relationship with retail partners, with a focus on driving revenue and margin growth. The focus of this position is to develop a long-standing relationship with Japan retailers together with our distribution channels. A key success measurement in this role will be the overall growth of the business both from a top line/market share and a margin perspective. An additional core focus will be enhancing our team culture focused on trust and collaboration and the consistent desire to “win” while instilling operational excellence.
This is a remote position in Japan. We will only consider candidates currently in Japan and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About the role:
・In alignment with our global Consumer sales strategy, you will support the Japan sales strategy and the tactical execution plan to achieve overall sales revenue objectives and operational excellence.
• As the Retail Senior Sales Manager, you will provide coaching, training, support while working with the sales team to foster and ensure a positive, open, innovative, disruptive, and high performing culture focused on exceeding revenue projections while advancing partner and customer relationships at all levels.
• You’re responsible for operational excellence:
- Develop the most effective plan to maximize our market share in Retail as well as topline in Japan Retail business by coordinating with sales team and other functional teams
- Drive the business in a controlled and sales-focused manner, ensuring accurate and timely pipeline management and forecast.
- Measure and monitor targeting retailers’ sales strategies and performance, along with well controlled spending plan to maximize the topline.
- Establish strong tie with Key retailers directly along with distribution partners to identify growing area of retail business (new/existing)
- Leverage a well thought out opportunity and account management plan to rapidly develop accounts and territories into revenue opportunities.
• Work across the Retail partners to uncover new opportunities, while providing market, partner,and customer insights to management, Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, Customer Success and Regional teams to influence or enhance our market presence/brand awareness for sales.
• Maintain your knowledge of the cyber security industry, trends and the competitive posture of McAfee and other industry leaders.
• You will deliver high impact presentations, effectively representing McAfee’s business and value proposition as your Partner’s “number one security provider" to deliver security products to end
users.
About you:
• Great retail sales experience needs to include a deep focus and track record within the Japan Retail market. Your history should include a focus on the consumer technology market or relevant sales experience in the Cybersecurity industry.
• Native level Japanese language and business level English
• You are energized with an ability to communicate vision, strategy, and the business value McAfee’s solutions and concepts bring to our consumer customers.
• A history leading in driving and collaborating to achieving multi-millions quota targets is a key requirement along with “can do” attitude and solution based approach.
• You have a proven sales history calling on Japan Consumer business.
• With operational excellent in mind, your dedicated attention to pipeline development/ forecasting / resource & budget management / relationship management will be essential to achieving the goals of this opportunity.
