The Role:

•The Manufacturing Systems Solution Engineer position is responsible to deliver manufacturing systems solutions that will enable our internal and external customers to gather manufacturing data, solve problems, and add value. He/she works with users (our internal customers) on their problems and requirements and works cross-functionally with IT, PMO, and external vendors to deliver solutions that meet the requirements. He/She will ensure that manufacturing and processes are being managed in accordance to IT requirements and governance. Ensure that new products and systems are integrated into sustainable manufacturing system solutions. Provide training to manufacturing systems end users to empower proper use and self-resolution, as well as provide support where-needed.

Technical Leadership
•Provide and deliver technical solutions from the understanding of manufacturing needs and knowledge of manufacturing system capabilities to solve problems and add value Lead the resolution of issues within the manufacturing systems and enable end users to make data driven decisions
•Guide end users to quantify value opportunity and communicate requirements for needs
•Provide training and guidance so that end users can solve system/application related issues such as missing data or incorrect data in system database, reporting issues, data extraction for analytics etc.
•Troubleshoot issues that arise with IT, vendors, and ensure that sustainable solutions are put in place to address future instances.
Manufacturing Systems Management
•Working with the Head of MOT (Manufacturing Operations Technology), Manufacturing Quality and other applicable stakeholder to develop, optimize and execute policies of the manufacturing systems such as real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related modules that are deployed to the manufacturing sites.
•Ensure the manufacturing systems are implemented, effective, maintained, and compliant to regulatory requirements
•Adhere to global manufacturing standards and practices and maintain consistency
•Coordinate systems implementation at applicable sites
•Control and manage system changes - perform integration and user acceptance testing
•Conduct pilot run on new functions /projects and define deployment plan to meet established project deadlines
•Establish, maintain, and update global manufacturing system procedures
•Support software and hardware new installation, upgrades, and improvement. Example: rolling out new versions or replacing servers.
•Support internal and external audit on global manufacturing systems
•Conduct training for manufacturing systems such SPC, MES, and related applications to drive successful adoption of the manufacturing system applications and promote user resolution of issues where possible
•Support users to solve software issues such as Suppliers COA upload failures, Supplier and Customer CofA generation failures, CofA template changes, etc. Ensure that recurring issues are addressed with sustainable processes within manufacturing systems
