The Head of Process Development is responsible for leading and managing process development activities to optimize manufacturing efficiency, ensure product quality, and drive innovation in production processes. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with R&D (Product Development), quality, and Appliaction teams to develop, scale up, and implement robust　processes.

【Key Responsibilities】
1. Process Development & Optimization
•Lead the development, optimization, and validation of manufacturing processes for new and existing clients.
•Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
•Develop and standardize best practices for process control, automation, and scale-up.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with R&D to ensure smooth technology transfer from lab-scale to full-scale production.
• Partner with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO).
• Collaborate with Operations and Application teams to integrate new technologies and automation solutions.

3. Technology & Innovation
• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies to improve process performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.

4. Team Leadership & Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers and scientists.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for process development projects.

5. Scale-Up & Commercialization
• Oversee process scale-up activities from pilot to commercial production.
• Develop risk assessments and mitigation strategies for new process implementation.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues.

本ポジションでは、製造効率を最適化し、製品の品質を保証し、製造プロセスの革新を推進するためのプロセス開発活動を主導し、管理する責任を担っています。この職務は、R&D(製品開発)、品質、Appliactionの各チームと協力し、より強固なプロセスの開発、スケールアップ、導入を行います。

【役割と責任】
1. プロセス開発と最適化
- 新規および既存顧客の製造プロセスの開発、最適化、検証をリードする。
- 効率向上、コスト削減、製品品質向上のためのプロセス改善を特定し、実施する。
- プロセス制御、自動化、スケールアップのベストプラクティスを開発し、標準化する。

2. 部門を超えたコラボレーション
- 研究開発部門と緊密に連携し、ラボスケールからフルスケール生産へのスムーズな技術移転を確保する。
- 品質保証および薬事チームと連携し、業界標準および規制(GMP/FDA/ISOなど)への準拠を確保する。
- オペレーションチームやアプリケーションチームと協力し、新技術や自動化ソリューションを統合する。

3. 技術革新
- プロセスパフォーマンスを向上させるための最先端技術を評価し、導入する
- リーン生産方式、シックスシグマ、その他の方法論を用いた継続的改善イニシアチブを推進
- 業界トレンド、新技術、規制変更に関する最新情報の入手

4. チームのリーダーシップとマネジメント
- プロセスエンジニアと科学者のチームをリードし、指導し、育成する。
- イノベーション、コラボレーション、継続的改善の文化を醸成する。
- プロセス開発プロジェクトの予算、スケジュール、リソースを管理する。

5. スケールアップと商業化
- パイロットから商業生産までのプロセスのスケールアップ活動を監督する。
- 新プロセス導入のリスク評価と緩和戦略の策定。
- 生産に関する問題のトラブルシューティングと根本原因分析をサポートする。

■休日：完全週休二日制, 土, 日, 祝日, GW, 夏季休暇, 年末年始

Education:
•Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
•10+ years of experience in process development, manufacturing, or engineering roles.
•Strong background in process design, scale-up, and validation in industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals, or food processing.
•Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, DOE).

Skills & Competencies:
•Expertise in process engineering principles, automation, and optimization techniques.
•Strong leadership and project management skills.
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
•Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GMP, FDA, ISO, etc.).
•Ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Certification in Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) or Project Management (PMP).
•Experience with digital transformation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
•Strong track record of successfully commercializing new processes.

望ましい資格
- シックスシグマ（グリーン／ブラックベルト）またはプロジェクトマネジメント（PMP）の資格。
- デジタルトランスフォーメーションやインダストリー4.0技術の経験。
- 新しいプロセスの商品化に成功した実績のある方。
