■Negotiate, develop strategy for, and draft commercial contracts and other legal arrangements, including for key collaborations; distribution, dealer and sales transactions; and public tender.
■Support governance activities of various legal entities across the region with support from local counsel where required.
■Partner with regional leadership to drive compliant business practices in the sales and marketing departments
■Conduct legal and compliance training in a variety of areas. Conduct compliance investigations, and manage litigation with the support of local/external counsel.
■Actively contribute to the implementation or enhancement of the legal team´s processes and policies.

■At least 5 years of experience working at a reputable law firm or in house, preferably a combination thereof. Extensive exposure to and success in a dynamic business environment.
■Excellent academic credentials, and a qualification as a lawyer in Japan
■Business level fluency in both Japanese and English.
■Preferably experience in Compliance, including anti-corruption programs.
■Ability to refuse to accept unethical conduct or outcomes that threaten the business while working with business leaders with varying degrees of legal knowledge. Must take business leaders’ concerns and demands into account in how best pursue legal strategies.
