About the Role
We are looking for a Clean Energy Operating Company Procurement Leader to join the Clean Energy Supply Chain Team to lead a global team of Procurement Associates.
In this role, you will have global accountability for the development and execution of the buy strategy, development of a strategic market perspective and supply chain competitiveness for all direct materials and contract manufacturing supporting the OpCo.
This role provides direction and oversight for Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Performance Management and Category Management, including responsibility for creating a team environment that engages associates and drives for results.
Additionally, you will own the Strategic Supplier relationship for key Enterprise
suppliers in Japan, cultivating a strong relationship, and creating and executing a plan to serve business needs across multiple operating companies.

Responsibilities
1. Drive procurement metrics and targets in alignment with business strategy
2. Participates as full partner on the Op Co Supply Chain leadership team to fully understand the business strategy and to bring the external marketplace dynamics into the strategy and planning process.
3. Manage contracts and relationship with strategic suppliers for Clean Energy and key Enterprise suppliers in the Japan region working across operating companies.
4. Develop a high performing team with the appropriate skills, knowledge, and bench strength to drive functional excellence and deliver on the long-term needs of the business. Provide leadership for the procurement team which includes driving the performance management, talent planning and compensation processes.
5. Develop the overall vision, strategy and objectives for the Procurement function and ensure effective execution of the strategy.
6. Understand external industry trends, the competitive environment, and our internal performance to align and continuously improve the sourcing strategy.
7. Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and engage them in strategic supplier management for value creation and innovation.
8. Work with the Procurement team to evaluate the external market and develop strategies to mitigate risk and guarantee supply continuity.
9. Accountable for annual delivery of savings and working capital targets as required by the business and supply chain to achieve competitiveness.
10. Partner with cross-functional leaders to provide expertise needed for successful design for supply chain decisions and for mobilizing strategic sourcing initiatives.

Required Qualifications
・Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business (or
equivalent)
・12+ years of Procurement experience in a global manufacturing environments or related experience
・6+ years of experience leading and developing people with proven performance management skills
・Experience negotiating complex contracts with suppliers
・Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a global procurement strategy that delivers business results
・Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving desired business outcomes
・Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills in global business teams.
・Strong communication skills, teamwork, collaboration, and ability to build
relationships and affect change remotely
・Driving clarity and decisions in an ambiguous environment.
・Strong written and spoken English skills
・Availability for national and international travel up to 25%

Desired Qualifications (if applicable)
・MBA
・SAP experience.
・CPSM, CPM, SPSM or similar certification
・Leadership essentials and/or core leadership training
・Project Management skills
・Expat experience
