Venture investment manager takes key responsibilities for new investments and
works closely with portfolio companies to scale their finance and operations.
• Manage the deal flow process from start to finish, including sourcing new prospects, running introduction meetings, conducting in-depth analyses
• Conduct research on markets, technology use cases and industry trends and actively source new deals from current and new deal flow sources
• Play an active role in the due diligence process
• Support portfolio companies through activities such as but not limited to, regular
updates, BD/fundraising support and documentation of their progress
• Coordinate the gathering of financial and operational updates from the portfolio
companies and build internal reports accordingly in order to track their performance across diverse metrics on a regular basis
• Regularly engage partners such as other venture capital funds

• Education: Background in life science (microbiology or related fields) is essential, with an advanced degree preferred (Msci /PhD)
• Experience: >3 years of experience in venture capital (or other financial sectors such as private equity), management consulting, or life science startup is preferred
• Ability to think logically/MECE and have analytical mindset
• Team-player and ability to thrive in multi-cultural environment
• Languages: proficiency in English required, ability to communicate in Japan preferred but not essential
