仕事内容：
タンパク質科学や相互作用解析分野の専門性を通じた創薬/技術プロジェクトの推進
・各種評価手法を用いた分子間相互作用解析
・環状ペプチドや低分子のスクリーニング後におけるヒット化合物の特定
・ヒット化合物の結合様式、機能、作用機序の解明
・Hit to Lead段階における化合物の結合活性情報の提供
・各標的分子に応じたアッセイ系の構築、プロジェクトの進捗に応じた系の選定と最適化
・分子間相互作用解析技術の開発（従来法では定量解析が困難な標的や相互作用に対応する新技術の開発、スループット向上を目的とした、wet/dry両面からの技術開発）

ヒット化合物の特定においては、False negative（見逃し）を起こさないという責任感を持って業務を遂行していただきますが、同時に新規ヒット化合物の機能性や相互作用のユニーク性に最初に気づける業務でもあります。得られた知見をもとに部内外の多様な専門性を持つ研究員と緊密に連携し、理解を深めながらプロジェクトを主導していただきます。ヒット特定後は、化合物設計に不可欠な相互作用パラメータを取得し、他部署との協働を通じて誘導体の最適化を推進することで、創薬プロジェクトの大幅な加速を実現します。

Description of work:
Driving Drug Discovery and Technology Projects through Expertise in Protein Science and Molecular Interaction Analysis
・Analysis of molecular interactions using various evaluation methods
・Identification of hit compounds following screening of cyclic peptides and small molecules
・Elucidation of binding modes, functions, and mechanisms of action of hit compounds
・Provision of binding activity data during the Hit-to-Lead stage
・Development of assay systems tailored to each target molecule, and selection/optimization of systems according to project progress
・Development of molecular interaction analysis technologies (including new methods for targets and interactions that are difficult to quantify with conventional techniques, and wet/dry approaches aimed at improving throughput)

In identifying hit compounds, you will be expected to carry out your tasks with a strong sense of responsibility to avoid false negatives (missed hits). At the same time, this role offers the unique opportunity to be the first to recognize the functionality and interaction uniqueness of novel hit compounds. Based on the insights gained, you will closely collaborate with researchers from within and outside the department who possess diverse expertise, deepening understanding and leading projects forward. After hit identification, you will acquire essential interaction parameters for compound design and promote the optimization of derivatives through cross-departmental collaboration, thereby significantly accelerating drug discovery projects.

求める経験
・SPRなど物理化学的分析法による分子レベルでの相互作用解析手法の構築を伴う業務の経験を3年以上程度
・困難な課題（難標的の系構築、ヒットが取れない、独自の技術開発など）を主体的な取り組みにより解決した経験

以下の経験があれば望ましい：
・in-vitro cell freeおよびcell-based assay系の構築を含む業務経験
・リコンビナントタンパク質の発現・精製系の構築を含む業務経験

求める資格：
・医学・薬学・理学・工学・農学系修士以上で、できれば博士号を取得している者
・一定以上の英語力（目安：TOEIC 730点以上）

Desired experience:
・3+ years of experience in developing molecular interaction analysis methods using biophysical techniques such as SPR
・Proven experience in independently solving challenging issues, such as constructing systems for difficult targets, identifying elusive hits, or developing proprietary technologies
Preferred qualifications:
・Experience in developing in-vitro cell-free and cell-based assay systems
・Experience in recombinant protein expression and purification system development

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
・Strong understanding of the principles and analytical methods of biophysical techniques used in various protein science research
・Capability to formulate research plans to solve problems based on one's own knowledge and literature research
・Experience in conducting multiple experiments in parallel
・Excellent balance between respecting others' opinions and ideas while pursuing one's own vision for the future

Desired Qualifications:
・Those who have a Master's degree in medicine, pharmacy, science,　agriculture or engineering and preferably have a Ph.D.
・Proficient English skills required (TOEIC score: 730 or above)
